This is the only place we have been able to find a good slice of London cheesecake its become so rare. Their other cheesecake (in the pot) is to die for.
  • Café Lounge Bright grammable interiors, generous plates of beautifully presented food with a friendly service, makes this a popular spot for brunch and mid-morning pauses meaning booking ahead is often a good idea.

  • The George Vaults A High Street landmark combining traditional character with a modern offering. Hearty food, notable Sunday roasts, and if you ask nicely you might be allowed to take a peek at the 14th century vault below which is something quite special.
  • The Dead Pigeon Sitting between Rochester and Chatham, this modern pub has a strong sense of identity. Think generous portions, American-style burgers, crispy fries, and craft beers in a relaxed setting.

  • Tiny Tim’s Tearoom Popular with visitors and dripping in Dickensian nostalgia. More heritage-led than contemporary, but very much part of Rochester’s food story and a firm favourite.
